TERMS AND CONDITIONS — PRODUCTS AND ONLINE ORDERS

Thank you for ordering with Balloon Inspirations. Please read these terms carefully before placing an order. By ordering from our site you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Information about us

We operate the website ballooninspirations.com. We are Balloon Inspirations, trading from Unit 2, Suffolk House Business Park, Ashwells Road, Pilgrims Hatch, Brentwood, CM15 9SG.

We currently only accept orders from addresses within the United Kingdom.

Your status

By placing an order through our site you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts and that you are at least 18 years of age.

How a contract is formed

After placing an order you will receive an email acknowledging receipt. This does not constitute acceptance of your order. Your order constitutes an offer to purchase a product. Acceptance occurs when we send you a Dispatch Confirmation email. The contract between us is formed at that point.

Orders and availability

Orders are subject to product availability. If a product becomes unavailable we will notify you by email. From time to time the exact style or colour of balloons ordered may be out of stock — in this event we will replace it with a closely matched substitute or contact you to discuss an alternative.

Personalised products

When ordering personalised products you accept full responsibility for ensuring the order form is completed accurately. Any text provided will be used exactly as received, including any spelling errors. We will not make alterations to personalised text. You will not have the right to cancel a contract for personalised products that have been produced to your specific requirements, except where the product is defective.

Payments and charges

All charges are as specified on our website or in a written quotation where applicable. All payments are due upon ordering. Once an order is placed it cannot be cancelled, as we purchase or prepare stock immediately upon confirmation.

If you need to make changes to an order after it has been placed, please contact us as soon as possible at [email protected]. Where changes are possible, they will incur an administration fee of £50. Changes can only be requested on one occasion — multiple amendments cannot be processed. An invoice for the administration fee will be issued and changes will only be put into production upon payment.

We accept payment by Visa, Mastercard, Visa Debit and Maestro.

Discount codes

Only one promotional code may be used per order. Discounts cannot be applied to PayPal transactions or orders containing personalised products only. Returned items will be refunded at the discounted price paid.

Pricing

Product prices and delivery charges are as quoted on our site and are subject to change, though changes will not affect orders for which a Dispatch Confirmation has already been issued. In the event of an obvious pricing error we reserve the right to cancel the order and notify you accordingly.

Deposit and payment terms for installation services

For venue balloon décor and installation services, a non-refundable deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due two weeks prior to your event. Any amendments to themes, colours or design details must be requested within two weeks of the original booking date.

Risk and title

Products become your responsibility from the time of delivery. Ownership passes to you only upon receipt of full payment including any applicable delivery charges.

Refunds policy

We are unable to offer refunds on personalised products unless the product is defective and returned within 72 hours of delivery, or the product has not been delivered by the confirmed date. Refunds will be issued using the same payment method originally used.

DELIVERY INFORMATION

Balloon Inspirations local delivery

We provide a local delivery and installation service. Please select this option at checkout if you require a timed delivery or installation by a Balloon Inspirations driver or installer.

Overnight courier service

We use an overnight courier service for non-urgent nationwide deliveries to all UK mainland addresses. Please allow a minimum of two working days for order processing before dispatch.

For next-day delivery, orders must be placed before 2pm. In most cases your order will arrive by close of business the following day, though delivery times cannot be guaranteed and may occasionally be affected by circumstances outside our control.

Courier deliveries can arrive any time between 8am and 8pm. If you require delivery within a specific time window please order for the day before your event, or contact us to discuss options.

Standard deliveries are dispatched Monday to Thursday. Friday orders requiring next-day delivery must select and pay for a Saturday delivery service. Courier deliveries are not dispatched on Fridays to prevent balloons from sitting in a depot over the weekend, which affects quality.

Saturday courier deliveries carry a surcharge — please select the relevant service at checkout for exact charges.

We are unable to dispatch to remote locations where access may cause significant delays. We will not be held responsible for delays resulting from location or logistics beyond our control.

Delivery delays

If your delivery is delayed, please contact us immediately and we will liaise with the courier on your behalf. We are unable to offer delivery refunds directly but will work with the courier to investigate and resolve the issue.

Collections

If you are collecting your order, please ensure your vehicle is large enough to carry it safely. Balloon Inspirations will not be responsible for any damage to balloons once they have left our premises. If you are sending a third party to collect, liability for any damage in transit rests with you or your chosen representative.

Missing or damaged goods

If your order arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us by email at [email protected] on the day of delivery, including photographs of the damage. We are unable to address issues raised after this point as balloons naturally deteriorate over time.

If an item is missing from your order or you have received the wrong product, please contact us on the day of delivery with a photograph. We will arrange a replacement where possible.

If your order does not arrive within 48 hours of the due date and we can verify a lost shipment with the courier, we will offer a free replacement. If a replacement is not required, a credit note will be issued for future use.

Returns

We are unable to offer free returns. Any items you wish to return are sent at your own cost.

SAFETY AND CARE

Please read the following safety information carefully.

Choking hazard — uninflated or broken balloons present a choking and suffocation risk to children under 8 years of age. Adult supervision is required at all times. Discard any burst or broken balloons immediately and keep all balloons out of reach of young children and animals.

Never inhale helium. Although helium is a non-toxic gas, inhaling it deprives the body and brain of oxygen and can cause serious injury or death.

Temperature — extreme heat or cold shortens the lifespan of your balloons. Keep balloons away from direct sunlight, hot environments and very cold conditions. We do not recommend storing balloons outside or in outbuildings such as garages or sheds. Cold air can cause helium balloons to appear deflated — this is temporary and they will usually re-inflate as they return to room temperature.

Personalised vinyl balloons — changes in air pressure or temperature can occasionally cause vinyl stickers to ripple or partially detach. This will often resolve itself when conditions normalise. If you are concerned, contact us with photographs on the day of receipt.

Please do not release helium balloons outdoors. Released balloons are harmful to wildlife and the environment.

Disposal — our latex balloons are 100% biodegradable and can be disposed of with general waste. Foil balloons should be deflated and recycled or reused where possible.

EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL

We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under a contract where that failure or delay results from events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to industrial action, civil unrest, fire, flood, natural disaster, failure of transport networks, failure of telecommunications networks, or acts of government.

Our performance will be suspended for the duration of any such event and we will take reasonable steps to bring it to a close or find an alternative solution as soon as possible.

GENERAL

These terms and conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from contracts formed through our site will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We reserve the right to revise these terms and conditions at any time. You will be subject to the terms in force at the time you place your order.
