Rainbows and Clouds – brightly coloured birthday balloon decorations
When planning child’s birthday celebration, there are many things to consider. Of course one of the first things to consider would be what form the birthday celebration is going to take? Would you or should you go for a quiet evening at home (if you – the parent can get away with it!), a shopping trip – (when they get to a certain age)… Once you have resigned yourself to the reality that you are not going to get away with a quiet evening at home and you know for sure you are having a party, other considerations have to be made. Where is this party taking place? in your living room, your garden (many people are getting away with this even with the UK’s dubious climate) or some other function hall or function room somewhere.
As soon as the party venue has been decided, you can decide whether or not you would like to go for a “themed” party or not. Themed parties are particularly popular especially for children who already know their own favourite colours, TV shows or fictional characters.
A party “theme” that would hardly ever go out of fashion or favour is the simple use of primary colours or rainbow colours, due mainly to the fact that these bright colours have the inherent ability to brighten up any room. Balloons have that special advantage of adding vibrant colours to a space, instantly filling even the most drably decorated room with fun and life!
Tope Abulude of Ballooninspirations.com; serving Essex, Kent, London and beyond within the UK has had the pleasure of designing party decorations featuring multicoloured rainbow balloons. One of the more recent of such parties was a birthday party featuring an actual balloon “rainbow” which served as the room focal point, framing the celebrant’s cake table. The guest table decorations comprised small balloon rainbows floating above balloon clouds as shown in the pictures below.
The use of balloons in bright colours (rainbow balloons) for birthday party decorations is especially effective when there is a desire to mask the decor of the function venue. As balloons help to fill up spaces with large blocks of colour, bringing attention to themselves; this attribute was utilised for another birthday party venue recently.
These pictures show varied interpretations of the same theme:- Clients may choose to focus the decorations on creating specific focal points such as the birthday cake table, ceiling decorations (useful when the space has a high ceiling ), the dancefloor, individual table decorations/centrepieces or you can have full room decorations – a “splash” of colour all over the room, creating a unified whole. The colours and the giant “O ” or ring in the pictures below actually allude to “loom bands” ; a firm favourite with the birthday celebrant.
