We are always thrilled when a bride and groom to be choose us at Balloon Inspirations to help set the scene for their wedding reception party decorations.
When working in this beautiful reception room at a venue in Orsett Essex, rather than focus on the constraints presented by the load bearing columns in the room and the relatively low ceilings, we decided to capitalise on the columns by creating classic balloon columns in ivory which were softened by the addition of leaves and flowers – (Roses and Gerbera daises).
Table decorations consists of double stuffed balloons in Ivory and clear balloons while jumbo 3 foot balloons with integral lighting cast a warm glow over the new bride and groom at the newly weds top table.

The décor for a hugely successful Circus themed party for the recently concluded World Balloon Convention (WBC) in Dallas Texas was designed by ‘Tope Abulude of Balloon Inspirations with the help of an army of volunteers…
Magnificent entrance feature: Large Clown arches
Guests at the circus themed party were ushered into the room through a tunnel of balloon arches featuring larger than life balloon sculptures of clowns wearing polka-dotted trousers!!!
Stage and Backdrop: This consisted of an extra large wall of brightly coloured balloons in keeping with the “Circus” theme. The large variety of individual décor elements really helped create the atmosphere of being in the “Big Top” tent of a circus. These include the dwarf balloon columns topped with “smiley faced ” balloons, upside down balloon columns with small balloon monkey sculptures as well as the use of mainly red and yellow balloons with white accents.
Ceiling Treatment:
Continuing the illusion of being in the “Big Top” of a Circus, the room ceiling was covered with large tapering balloon swags which met in the centre of the room, with a large glowing balloon clown head at its apex. Balloon columns were hung from the ceiling and feature small sculptures of monkeys clambering all over.
Featured below are some more photographs showing the other parts of the room , including the fun filled table decorations consisting of a floating balloon clown sculpture holding a large bunch of multicoloured balloons. Click to enlarge each picture.
Red, white, black with white accents were the colours placed together to put the Mickey Mouse theme together for a child’s birthday party in London recently.
We had the pleasure of advising the Client on the usage of contrasting colours for the tables and chairs which complement the Mickey mouse theme and this helped to completely transform the room into a spectacular party venue.
A custom made arch in black and featuring “Mickey’s ears” formed a backdrop for the stage with several abstract “Mickey sculptures” and the celebrant’s name spelt out in balloons were placed in the foreground. Several abstract sculptures were hung from the ceiling to help to tie the theme together, additionally creating a more intimate scale within a very large room.
The pictures featured below give an overview of the general décor of the space and show the stage area as well as table decorations.
Balloon decorations can look really elegant for Weddings, especially when combined with flowers.
I wondered if it’s possibek and what kind of cost it might be to decorate a marquee ceiling with balloons that have fake ivy falling off?
The marquee is 18mx 12m.
I have some images.
